Is the board I see on your site still available?

All the surfboards on the Akewatu catalog are available. This is the largest selection available exclusively for surfers on the Internet with thousands of surfboards and accessories listed by local surf shops. We also have ambassadors in Europe to update the listings on a daily basis. 

However, sometimes, it can be possible that the stock of one of our partner stores has not been updated yet in the inventory (These stock issues represent less than 10% of the cases).

In case you place an order for one of these products that has not been updated, customer care will search for availability for the board with another partner store and if it’s unavailable everywhere, it will be immediately refunded by our customer care service.

Can I get in touch with the seller?

Akewatu acts as a trusted third party between buyers and sellers. We make sure that the transaction goes smoothly for both you and the seller. We guarantee a secure payment system and ensure that any material purchased on the platform matches the listings. We cannot ensure this key role, if we let buyers and sellers get in touch directly before the purchase. That’s why you can talk to each other as soon as an order is confirmed and we act as a mediator in case of any problems. Before buying, the Akewatu team is available to answer all your questions.

Where is my order ?

As soon as an order is made on the site, our Customer Care team contacts the seller. We make a final check on the availability of the product.

In the case of a delivery, we organize the shipment of the product. To easily track the status of your order, simply log in to your Akewatu account using the email address you provided when you purchased. Then go to the “My Orders” section. You can then follow the progress of your order. If you are still missing information, you can contact our Customer Care department by email [email protected] or by phone +61 7 3053 8381 .

Where is your shop ?

Akewatu is a Marketplace, we don’t own any equipment available on the site. We help private individuals, shapers and local surf shops to show the diversity of their catalog. Our goal is to connect the surfing community throughout France, Europe, Australia and the world by guaranteeing you, our customers, the best possible delivery and deals at all times.

What is included in my breakdown cover ? 

The policy covers the repair or exchange of the surfboard from Akewatu by the remittance of an “exchange voucher” equivalent to the remplacement value within the limit of $1200 AUD, in case of accidental material damage suffered by the insured property.

The policy covers new surfboards (longboard, shortboard, fish, surf stand up paddle) 

Where do we deliver ? 

We deliver in Australia www.akewatu.com.au, France and Belgium through www.akewatu.fr, in Portugal  www.akewatu.pt, in Spain www.akewatu.es, and also in the United Kingdom  www.akewatu.co.uk.

How do installment payments work ? 

You can select payments in 3 or 4 times at the bottom of the payment page after having filled in your personal information and chosen your delivery option.

Installment payments are staged monthly payments (1 payment / month) during 3 or 4 months according to the chosen option. Thereby, at the same day each month you will be debited one third or one quarter of the board amount.
